  FEAST OF THE RAMSON -
       
 Annual Richwood tradition held in April. Hometown country cooking with the delectable wild ramp. Enjoy arts and crafts, live entertainment, and a variety of foods. For additional information contact (304)846-6790.

MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS -
       
 Bluegrass Festival. This June festival attracts thousands of music enthusiasts to Glade Creek every summer. Famous names in Bluegrass music appear in this four day festival. Camping and food are available on the grounds. For additional information contact (304)872-6853.

PAST 80 PARTY -
       
 This annual get together honors those who have reached the godsend year of 80 or gone beyond. Held in June contact (304)872-6790 for additional information.

FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS DISPLAY -
        
Annual Independence Day celebration in Summersville features live entertainment and a fireworks show in the Northside area. Sponsored by the Summersville Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Summersville, this event keeps getting bigger every year. For additional information contact (304)872-3722.

SCENIC MOUNTAIN TRIATHLON -
       
 Triathlon, this annual Richwood event in July is held in the beautiful Monongahela National Forest. This day of swimming, running and biking attracts athletes from across the U.S. For additional information contact (304)846-6790.

NICHOLAS COUNTY FAIR -
      
  Held at the Nicholas County Veterans Memorial Park, the fair kicks off with a Queen's pageant and features live gospel and country music at the bandstand. Also a midway full of fun games and amusement rides, and beautiful craft, quilt, art and agriculture displays. For additional information on this July event contact (304)872-1454.

WV STATE GOSPEL SINGING CONVENTION -
       
 The WV Mountain State Gospel Singers Corporation has been holding this annual "song convention" in Mt. Nebo since 1950. The week-long event features gospel singers, quartets, and choirs from all over the Southeast. Camper hook-ups and food available on the grounds. CHERRY RIVER FESTIVAL -    
        
This annual festival held in August also acts as the homecoming for many Richwood natives. The week long festivities include parades, food and craft vendors, live music and street dances.  For additional information contact (304)846-6790.

NICHOLAS COUNTY POTATO FESTIVAL - 
      
 
 This annual Summersville festival features a 5k walk/run, fireman's parade, grand feature parade, live music, food, crafts, pet pageant, antique car show, and potato judging. For additional information on this September event contact (304)872-0638 or (304)872-1211.

CARNIFEX FERRY CIVIL WAR WEEKEND -
       
 Held every other year (odd numbered years) on the weekend in September after Labor Day, the Battle of Carnifex Ferry is reenacted on the same ground as the original conflict. the two day event includes living history demonstrations and Civil War memorabilia/souvenirs for sale. GAULEY RIVER FESTIVAL -
       
 During the fall draw-down of Summersville Lake, Gauley River rafting season lasts for six weekends. The Gauley Festival, held in late September at the Nicholas County Veterans Memorial Park, includes live entertainment, rafting and kayaking vendors, and outdoor fun for whitewater enthusiasts.
